C&A Friedlander Attorneys has been of service to the community for over 100 years. Its roots go back to the firm Friedlander & Du Toit, which was established in Cape Town in 1899 by Charles Friedlander and co-founder Andreas Francois du Toit.
Charles was born in Middelburg in the Cape Colony, in 1878, where he completed his school career before leaving for Europe to further his studies. Andreas was born in Graaff Reinet and started his career as a teacher. He later qualified as an attorney and settled in Cape Town. In 1906 he left Friedlander and Du Toit to set up his own practice in Porterville. Friedlander and Du Toit continued business as C&A Friedlander Attorneys.
C&A Friedlander has a dynamic mixture of strong traditionalism blended with youthful innovation. As a practice that is committed to remaining at the forefront of legal developments, the firm offers a wide range of specialist legal services. These include expertise and experience in almost the entire spectrum of social, commercial and industrial activities. However, the primary focus of the firm is the client and it is expected that any contact with clients reflects the firm’s dedication to service and friendliness. The firm is large enough to render efficient and reliable services but at the same time being small enough to provide attention to detail and personal and dedicated service.
The firm has more than twenty qualified professionals backed by a well-established infrastructure of support staff, administration and systems. C&A Friedlander believes that the size of our firm is a major advantage because it’s large enough to provide efficient and reliable services, but at the same time, it’s small enough to provide attention to detail and personal and dedicated service. Our dedicated and experienced team is equipped to deal with any legal matter.
